The
letter and brochure below focus on informing parents and guardians
about North Carolina's adoption of the National Common Core Standards
for Reading and Math, as well as the NC Essential Standards that will
replace our current Standard Course of Study beginning in the 2012-2013
school year. This adoption will affect every subject and every grade
